This will be one exciting day of local action all around Australia! Australians use a whopping 4 billion single-use plastic bags every year. About 150 million of these end up in our environment as litter, making their way into our waterways and ending up in the ocean. To help tackle this problem we’re calling for all hands on deck to dust off a pair of gloves and get amongst the action of Clean Up Australia Day. Your local efforts show the world how much we value our environment!

Get together with your friends, family and neighbours, as well as Darebin's Bushland team to help clean up Edwardes Lake Park. Register to volunteer now at www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.

If you can’t make it down to Edwardes Lake, you can also register your own clean-up site in Darebin, or volunteer at a site near you by visiting www.cleanupaustraliaday.org.au.
