Darebin City Council invites the local media to attend a lunch with leaders and decision-makers in our community, who can play a key role in helping to prevent violence against women.
Attendees will discuss what can be done to create a community free of violence against women.
This event is part of the White Ribbon Campaign and is hosted in the lead up to November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Guest speakers will include:
Maxine Morand, Minister for Children and Early Childhood Development and Minister for Women's Affairs.
Andrew O’Keefe, Chairman of the White Ribbon Foundation and White Ribbon Ambassador.
Date: Wednesday 4 November 2009
Time: 12.30pm to 2.30pm
Venue: Darebin Arts and Entertainment Centre
