When is My Recycling Bin Collected?

Recycling bins are collected fortnightly. Recycling collection weeks alternate with green recycling collection weeks and are different for East and West Darebin.

The 2013 Recycling Calendar shows your recycling days and provides useful information about Council’s waste and recycling services.

The 2013 Recycling Collection Day Map shows recycling days with a more detailed map.

Alternatively you can or search on your property address in the Interactive Map on DarebinGuide to find out which days your recycling bin will be collected in 2013.

Business recycling bin collection days may differ from household bin collection days on Station Street, Reservoir and High Street, Westgarth. Please contact Customer Service on 8470 8888 to find out your collection day if your business property is on one of these streets.

Council encourages you to wait until your bins are full before you put them out for collection.

    Public Holidays

Bins will not be collected on Good Friday, Christmas Day, New Year's Day or Anzac Day. They will be collected the following day. All other bin collections in the week of a public holiday will also occur a day late.
