Decibels Youth Music Centre

Decibels Youth Music Centre provides low-cost recording and rehearsal facilities, music programs and resources for young people ages 12-25 who are looking to record, rehearse or extend their networking and knowledge of the contemporary music industry.

Do you play in a band? Are you a solo artist? Want a record deal?

Darebin City Council’s Decibels Records program is looking for two upcoming, local bands or solo artists aged 12-25 to work with throughout 2013.

Signed to Decibels Records, you will get the opportunity to work with our label committee and industry professionals to produce, record and promote your release, plus launch it at a special artist showcase event as a part of the 2013 Darebin Music Feast.

The City of Darebin's FReeZA program is a part of the Victorian State Government funded FReeZA initiative that gives young people the opportunity to lead the planning and staging of live music and cultural events within their local communities.

As one of 78 state-wide providers, the City of Darebin's FReeZA program also provides important performance opportunities for local musicians and emerging artists to showcase their talent through competitions such as the Victorian FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands. All FReeZA events are fully supervised, drug, alcohol and smoke-free.

$35/$45 per hour (including studio engineer)

Bookings by appointment.

2 individual spaces, fully equipped with vocal PA, drum kits, guitar and bass amplifiers.
$30 per 3 hour sessions
