Darebin Youth Advisory Group

Darebin City Council are currently looking for ten young people, aged 12–25 to become members of the Darebin Youth Advisory Group. As a committee member, you will meet quarterly with Darebin City Council representatives to provide guidance and advice on the key issues affecting young people in Darebin, as well as monitor and report on the 2012–2017 Darebin Youth Engagement Strategy.

2013 Darebin Peer Leadership Program

The City of Darebin are currently looking for 10 enthusiastic young people aged 17 – 25 who would like to be involved in the 2013 Peer Leader Program. Participants will be given the opportunity to build a wide range of skills including event management, first aid, communication and negotiation, conflict resolution, team work, youth work and job seeking.

As part of the program (which commences in April 2013), participants will also have the opportunity to assist with fun holiday and after-school programs, summer camps, the Darebin Youth Summit and much more; working in a supportive and friendly team environment.

Applications for the 2013 Peer Leadership Program must be completed and received by email, fax, mail or in person by 5pm on Thursday 28th March.
