The Darebin City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from community members who have diverse expertise and experience in arts and cultural development. We are looking for people who want to positively contribute in helping shape the future of Darebin arts by becoming a Darebin Arts Ambassador (DAA) on a Council Reference Group.

Darebin is undergoing exciting changes in its Arts and Culture activities through its community festivals, performing arts venues, visual art exhibition spaces, public art commissions and new artist support programs in the iconic Northcote Town Hall and Darebin Arts & Entertainment Centre

We aim to provide creative opportunities for every household in Darebin and for everyone who wishes to get involved in making Darebin a Creative City. Play your part in helping develop the new Darebin Arts Strategy 2014-2020 and have your say. What else do you think Council should be doing?

Please email acv@darebin.vic.gov.au to let us know your thoughts about what's important to you when it comes to living in a vibrant creative neighbourhood now and in the future. We’ll be accepting feedback via email until June 30, 2013.

Events come in many different sizes, and cover a wide range of activities. It may be a small community fete or a large music festival. Whatever size, they have common issues including planning, organisation, safety, insurance, disability access, contingency planning and publicity.
