Darebin Cycling Strategy 2013

The Darebin Cycling Strategy 2013 was adopted by Council on 10 December 2012. The new strategy reflects the changing context of cycling as transport and the popularity of cycling for leisure and transport.

The Darebin Cycling Strategy 2013 provides an ambitious yet achievable set of actions for delivery of infrastructure and programs within Darebin to make cycling enjoyable, convenient and safe.

The community provided valuable input on the Draft Darebin Cycling Strategy 2013, this has been collated and analysed for inclusion, and is attached below for review.

Parking your Bike

Council provides bicycle parking where there is high demand. We can install bike parking on street, and can provide bicycle hoops to schools and community organisations free of charge where a need is demonstrated.

We now have Parkiteer bike cages at Preston and Reservoir Train Stations. They are free with 24 hour access via a security card. A refundable $50 deposit is required. Register at parkiteer.com.au
