True North - Reservoir Arts Festival returns for it' second year this March, Friday 21 to Sunday 23 presenting an incredible range of free venue-based and pop-up arts events on and around Reservoir.
The most defining feature of True North is holding arts events in non-traditional arts spaces. You’ll find cabaret singers at pole-dancing studios, musicians in Laundromats, free arts skills workshops in shipping containers, participatory public art at street parties and much more! The festival will feature a number of special guests, including online blogger and personality ‘Reservoir Dad’, illusive social commentary blogger ‘Voir Tales’, international travellers the 'Cambodian Space Project', plus an eclectic selection of local visual artists including sound artist Michael Odwyer.
Local artists' studios and warehouses are hosting exhibitions and events providing interesting outposts for curious explorers. Local businesses showcase visual arts and writing projects on Edwardes Street, and we present collaborations with Outer Urban Projects’, Arts Access Victoria Nebula and many more organisations.
