Free Bike Training Course for adults in Darebin

 


Would you like to start cycling regularly and want to increase your cycling skills and confidence?


Then come along to Darebin's CycleWise course.


 

Designed for people who can already ride but aren't confident riding on road, the five hour course mixes theory and practice. The training includes bike setup and safety checks, road rules for cyclists, basic bike skills and confidence riding in traffic, where to ride and more.


Who can attend the training?

Courses are open to adults who live, work or study in the City of Darebin and are running monthly throughout the second half of 2010 in September, October and November, as well as in February 2011.

*Free for concession card holders, refundable booking fee applies/ $30 full fee.

Cycling on Darebin's most popular cycling routes has increased by 67% since 2008 - as our routes and roads become more cycle friendly more and more people are enjoying the benefits of getting on their bikes.

With the removal of the St Georges Rd roundabout, the new Koonda Late Bridge over the Merri Creek and associated paths, there are now a variety of great shared path and quiet routes into the city.
