Hoon Driving

Hoon driving, also known as anti-social driving is the dangerous behaviour of motorists involving speeding, burnouts, doughnuts, and screeching brakes. Darebin City Council is involved with the Anti-Social Driving Behaviour program to encourage residents to report this type of behaviour.

Reporting Hoon Driving

If this type of behaviour is occurring now, phone the Police (000) and state what is happening and where. Residents can now make confidential reports to the new state-wide hoon hotline on 1800 333 000. Information provided will help police target areas in which hoons are active so they may undertake appropriate measures to catch them in the act. You can also complete the Anti-Social Driving Behaviour online form or contact Customer Service on (03) 8470 8888 to be sent a hard copy form in the mail. Regular Occurrences

If this type of behaviour is a regular occurrence in your area you can report the incident to Council. Council passes information of the incident on to the local Police. This information will assist Police in identifying offenders and hopefully reducing these occurrences.
