Darebin Music Feast 2012

Thursday 20th - Sunday 7th October 2012

An old Chinese proverb says that birds do not sing because they have answers, they sing because they have a song. In 2012 the Darebin Music Feast is embracing this philosophy and putting together a program for the community.

The Darebin Music Feast is a festival dedicated to song-writing and community music. It is an exciting, all-inclusive festival that includes hundreds of events and celebrates the musical diversity of one of Melbourne’s most thriving musical communities.

In 2012 Darebin Music Feast will embark on a new partnership with Melbourne Fringe, as the two festivals continue their support of live music in Melbourne with an Independent Music Partnership. The partnership sees Darebin Music Feast events included as part of this year’s Fringe Festival, as Melbourne Fringe and Darebin Music Feast combine forces to promote Melbourne’s vibrant independent music scene.

Hub Venue Applications Forms

In 2012 the Northcote Town Hall will once again become a Hub Venue for the Darebin Music Feast. Successful applicants will receive a performance space, lighting and sound by a qualified engineer and venue assistance.

If you wish to apply, please complete a Feast Hub Venue Application Form. Forms MUST be received by Friday 15th June 2012. Before completing please review the Terms and Conditions below.

Are you a local musician, singer or venue? Are you involved in a band, choir or other music group? Do you want to organise your own music event for inclusion in the Darebin Music Feast 2012? Music makers of all ages, sizes and styles are encouraged to create an event for this years program.

If you wish to apply, please complete a Self Produced Events Form. Forms MUST be received by Friday 6th July 2012. Before completing please review the Terms and Conditions below.
