Carbon Down research has found that on average businesses can save approximately $850 and 40 tonnes of greenhouse gases per year by moving to a more competitive plan that includes over 25% GreenPower.  To reap these savings all you need to do is email or fax off your two most recent electricity bills to carbondown@vecci.org.au or fax: 03 8662 5489. You also need to provide your contact details and state that ‘you give Carbon Down permission to contact electricity retailers on your company's behalf to conduct a GreenPower cost comparison’.

Grants At Work - Inner North Community Foundation

Inner North Community Foundation Logo

Second Chance Cycles, an initiative of the Victorian Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (VACRO), trains ex-offenders to become bicycle mechanics. The model is simple and effective - unclaimed bicycles held by the police are fixed up and returned to the community for others to enjoy.

This is one of the many projects funded by the Inner North Community Foundation, which fund community projects in Darebin, Moreland and Yarra and has enabled more than 270 local people to get involved in work and training projects.
