A Special Council Meeting will be held on Monday November 23 to elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the next 12 months.
These positions are determined by an election where all Councillors vote.
Due to the current COVID-19 Restrictions this meeting will not be open to the public however will be able to be viewed through livestreaming via Councils via Councils webpage www.darebin.vic.gov.au
Council meetings are currently being held virtually, are livestreamed and may be accessed from Council's website. In accordance with these changes introduced in response to COVID-19 Ordinary Council Meetings are closed to the public and persons wishing to submit a ‘Public Question’ may do so online by 12.00 noon on the day of the meeting via the Question and Submissions form or by email Q&S@darebin.vic.gov.au. The Chairperson will read out the questions at the meeting, or if you wish to ask your question please indicate this when it is submitted and Council Officers will contact you to arrange access to the virtual meeting at the appropriate time.
Submissions - As the meeting is being held virtually you or a representative must be present in the virtual meeting to read your submission. If you or a representative is not present your submission will not be read out. If you advise us that you or a representative wish to be admitted to the meeting you will be sent a link to the meeting prior to the meeting commencing. Submissions must be as brief as possible and no longer than 2 minutes.
