Sustainable Travel

Walking, riding, using public transport and car pooling mean less cars on the road. The pay offs include health, environmental, safety and economic gains for the community. At Darebin, we are involved in great projects to encourage and support sustainable travel.

Travel Plans

Travel Plans detail ways to reduce car usage in favour of more sustainable modes of transport. This could be public transport, walking, cycling or car-pooling.

Travel Plans can be put together by businesses, schools, or for new developments. The Travel Plan will outline how the organisation intends to reduce the need for car usage to their site.

Visit the Travel Plans page for further details.

Travel Plans can also be developed for individuals, with specific options for making regular journeys.

Sustainable Travel to School

Find out about sustainable, active ways to get to school at the Travel to School page. You can also visit the Walking School Bus and Cycling to School pages for information about how you can make it happen.
