Darebin Community Grants Program
Our Community Grants program supports projects that make Darebin a better, healthier, sustainable and more inclusive place.
We are excited to announce a total of 111 successful applicants have been recommended for funding after a highly competitive assessment process for the 2022/23 Community Grants program.
Community engagement for the 2022/23 Community Grants Program began with a mailout to over 1,400 previous applicants. It was followed by two community grant information workshops online and two Community Grant Writing Workshops at Preston Library for both morning and evening sessions. This was accompanied by a pre-recorded grant writing workshop online tutorial that is available on our website. This video has been viewed by over 1,291 people.
This year there was approximately 143 grant applications requesting a total amount of $844,710.16 across the five main grant streams, which is almost twice the annual grants budget. After a highly competitive assessment process, 111 applicants have been recommended for funding.
You can view the list of the successful grant recipients and what they are about in brief. If you want to get in touch with one of these fabulous groups, or find out more about them, please contact the Community Grants Officer.
Congratulations to the successful applicants and we look forward to seeing their continued contribution to support the community and make Darebin a better, healthier, sustainable and more inclusive place.
