Parking permits for people with disability

Under Victoria's Accessible Parking Permit (APP) Scheme, you can apply for a new permit or renewal online. Learn more.

Victoria is transitioning to a new Accessible Parking Permit (APP) scheme and online system. This will make the application process easier and more consistent across the state.

Improvements to the scheme include:

  • the introduction of temporary permits for six, 12 or 24 months
  • an increase in the length of individual permits from three to five years
  • a new permanent disability classification, so you don't need a reassessment for future renewals
  • a new single and secure state-wide permit design to reduce permit misuse
  • the inclusion of occupational therapists as assessors, in addition to GPs.

Please note: Double-time permits (green) and permits for organisations will continue under the new scheme.
