What do living things need?
This hands-on education program aims to link the understanding that animals have basic survival needs with real live animals and their environments. Students will learn how we care for the animals and plants on the farm to ensure that their basic needs are met and that the animals enjoy a good quality of life.
- Farm classroom – interactive discussion on the needs of animals and a craft activity using real sheep’s wool
- Guided farm tour
- Hands-on garden learning, including composting, worm farms & planting
- A ride through the wildlife reserve to learn about emus and kangaroos
