Toy Library review

We're reviewing our Toy Library service to make sure it remains accessible, affordable and responsive to the community. We conducted community engagement activities from March to May 2021, including an online survey. We are currently finalising our report and recommendations to send to Council’s Executive Management Team for consideration and approval of proposed changes.

This may take some time, but we will provide further updates on the status of this process as it continues.

Play maps

We asked children and families in playgroups, childcare centre's, kindergartens and primary schools where they enjoyed playing. We then used their answers to help create Darebin Play Maps. These maps offer affordable, simple ways to your get children playing and exploring our wonderful spaces.

You can use them to stimulate ideas, give prompts and mark local spaces that children love to play in. While we've made every effort to make sure suggestions are appropriate, you need to use common sense and boundaries to ensure your children are safe.
