Hard Waste

What don't we collect?

There are items we can't collect in our hard waste collections, but other organisations can help.

We don't collect any of the following items, and fines may apply if you put them out for collection.

You can take any of these items to the Darebin Resource Recovery Centre (fees may apply):

  • gas bottles and fire extinguishers (you can also return these to the supplier)

  • any type of batteries
  • large glass items e.g. windows, mirrors, shower screens, glass doors
  • light globes and tubes
