Soil contamination can happen when past waste disposal or activities have caused pollution. This contamination needs to be cleaned up and managed in the right way.
Clements Reserve soil contamination report
We became aware that Clements Reserve had previously been used as a shooting range. In line with Council’s general environmental duties, we commissioned a report to understand whether there was any residual contamination. Upon finding a small lead hotspot, Council took immediate action to manage the risk.
