At a Special Council Meeting on 30 June 2026, Council adopted the 2026–27 Budget.

The budget outlines how Council will deliver services, infrastructure and community programs over the next year while planning responsibly for the future.

Council's budget continues to deliver important services for our community. We are prioritising essential services and the infrastructure our community relies on, while carefully reviewing priorities and exploring new ways to support services into the future.

More than 100 essential services will continue to be delivered across Darebin, including waste collection, libraries, maternal and child health services, roads, parks, community facilities and local programs.

Investment will help keep our neighbourhoods safe, connected and vibrant, while supporting the needs of our growing and diverse community.

The budget prioritises maintaining the assets and infrastructure that support daily life, including roads, drains, buildings, parks and community facilities.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to provide feedback and help shape this year's budget.
