Darebin is home to people from over 112 countries who speak over 88 different languages. About one-third of us were born overseas, and for almost half of us, both parents were born overseas.

Darebin's residents have diverse backgrounds, beliefs, attributes, orientations and identities. Council is committed to accessibility and inclusion for all, and to ensuring our services and programs meet the needs of all residents.

Darebin Intercultural Centre (IC)

A place where people cultivate mutual respect for each other’s cultures and identities and can equally participate in civic and community life.

Community Advisory Committees

Community Advisory Committees facilitate community participation and input into policy and service development, projects and events.

Speak My Language (interpreting services)

Darebin offers a free interpreting service for non-English speaking customers over the phone or in person at any Customer Service Centre.
