Pet registrations expire on 10 April each year. Council sends renewal notices via email or post around March.

Visit our objecting to a council fine page more information on when and how to lodge an appeal. Reasons to lodge an appeal may include having moved outside of the municipality, the passing of your pet or for other extenuating circumstances.

Refunds

Council does not refund registration fees for pets that move from the Darebin area or are lost, missing, or deceased.
