We're here to help keep your bike safe and easy to ride, year-round. Make sure to book ahead for our popular free monthly bike check program at Reservoir and Northcote.

We also provide public bike repair stations throughout Darebin, for repairs when you are in the middle of your journey. 

Free monthly bike checks

Darebin Council has partnered with WeCycle and Dr Cranky’s to offer free monthly 20-min bike checks at Reservoir and Northcote. Friendly bike mechanics will be on hand to check your bike and help you get it into top shape.

Bookings are essential.

Held on the third Saturday of each month, between 12.30pm and 3.00pm.

Public bike repair stations

Our public bike repair stations allow you to easily complete on-the-go repairs on your bike on any day and at any time. The following repair stations include a pump and basic tools to help you complete minor maintenance on your bike:

• Darebin Parklands – eastern end of Separation Street, Alphington
• Merri Creek – near St George’s Road intersection, Westgarth
• Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre – 180 Victoria Road, Northcote
• All Nations Park, Skate Park – Dennis Street, Northcote
• Opposite Northcote Town Hall – High Street, Northcote
• Cnr Miller Street and the Northern Pipe Trail – (St Georges Rd shared path), Thornbury
• Cnr Oakover Road and High Street, Preston
• Preston Library – 266 Gower Street, Preston
• Reservoir Community and Learning Centre – 23 Edwardes Street, Reservoir
• Reservoir Leisure Centre – 2A Cuthbert Rd, Reservoir
• Bundoora Park Farm and Cafe – 1069 Plenty Rd, Bundoora

• Preston to Bell shared path* – near Bruce Street and Preston City Oval

*Managed by the Level Crossing Removal Authority.
