The IC offers spaces for community hire from 10am–9pm weekdays, weekends and public holidays for activities which align with our Vision, Mission and Programming Framework(PDF, 546KB).

Shared spaces

The shared spaces are for all users of the IC and cannot be booked.

Ganbu gulin ganbu wilam 'One people one place' Lounge

The seating area consists of 4 round tables with 4 chairs per table and can seat 16 people comfortably. The space also includes a couch area with small café-style tables.

There is a kitchenette with microwave and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Reflection Room 

This quiet room is designed to accommodate a diverse range of individual reflective, spiritual and self-regulating practices.

Accessibility

The Darebin Intercultural Centre has the following access features:

  • DDA compliant ramps to entrance with handrails
  • Braille & tactile signage displayed to identify each sanitary facility and required exit
  • Accessible toilets
  • Pictogram signage for bathroom
  • Baby change facilities
  • Kitchenette
  • Prayer / reflection room
  • Accessible car parking spots at Customer Service Carpark, 274 Gower St.

Inspections can be arranged by appointment between 10am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

Bookings on weekdays after 5pm and on weekends incur additional staffing charges.
