The Aussie Bird Count is a fun, easy way for all of us to take a national snapshot of the birds around us as we connect with nature.

Join in the National Aussie bird count, by helping spot Birds around the Keon Park Children's Hub.

Held over two afternoons, you can drop in for one session, or come for both.

This relaxed session is perfect for bird spotters of all ages.

Times

We'll meet at 4pm at the Children's Hub, before heading out to the Wetlands behind the Hub to see how many birds we can count in 20 minutes.

After we've finished spotting we'll celebrate with an afternoon tea (provided).

Please note - there are two ways to participate on the day.

You can either use the Aussie Bird count App, or a pen and paper (we’ll upload the results later).

We do recommend if you’d like to use the App, that you download the Aussie Bird Count App in advance, and sign up for an account.

Ages

People of any age are welcome to attend this session, but please note that Children must be actively supervised by a parent or carer at all times.

Cost: FREE

Safety

All Council staff and facilitators hold current Working With Children's Checks.
