There may be restrictions that affect how you use or develop your property. We cannot issue a planning permit if your proposed use or development allows the covenant to be breached.

You must get a recent copy of the certificate of title from the Land Titles Office to determine if a covenant affects your property.

How to lodge your application

There are three ways to lodge a planning permit application.

  1. Online - lodge your application through through our eServices portal.
  2. In person - visit our Planning Department counter at Level 1, 274 Gower Street, Preston between 8:45am and 4:45pm, Monday to Friday (except public holidays).
  3. By mail - mail your application and the relevant application fee to:
