Hard waste

Eligible residential properties are entitled to one free booked hard waste collection per financial year (1 July–30 June).

Before booking a hard waste collection, consider alternative ways to reduce waste to minimise items going into landfill. There are also a range of materials not accepted in hard waste collections that may be safe to dispose of at Darebin's Resource Recovery Centre.

From November 2027, Council will provide a community-wide annual hard rubbish collection service. More details will be available closer to the date.
