Waste collections are not impacted by Australian Services Union (ASU) industrial action at this time, allowing Council services to return to normal.
If customers have any missed collections, these should be reported to customer service (Phone: 03 8470 8888).
The ASU has notified Darebin City Council and the other seven councils joined in multi-employer bargaining that they plan to take strike action on Tuesday 5 May – State Budget Day.
Some council services may be affected by the ASU’s strike. We will keep you informed as much as possible.
It’s regrettable the Australian Services Union’s industrial action has affected our communities and customers. We will continue to negotiate in good faith with all unions representing our staff.
