Proposed sale of land – Right of way adjoining 62 Rene St, Preston

Darebin City Council, acting under section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020, proposes to sell the land from discontinued road adjoining 175 Tyler Street and 62 Rene Preston Victoria 3072, shown hatched on the plan below.

The land is known as Lot 13 on Title Plan TP020984C and is contained within Certificate of Title Volume 12156 Folio 780.
It is Council’s intention to sell the land from the former road to the owner of the adjoining property adjoining 62 Rene Street Preston Vic 3072 by private treaty in accordance with Council Policy.
As part of its Community Engagement process Council is inviting submissions on this proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing to the undersigned by no later than Monday 1 June 2026.
All written submissions will be considered in accordance with the principles of section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and tabled at the next available Council meeting.
Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the land, part of the land or not to sell the land. Further, Council may also decide to sell the land to another party.
Any person making a written submission is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
