We all want to live in a community that is safe, clean and healthy - and this includes for our furry friends! This is why we are developing the new Domestic Animal Management Plan (DAMP) 2026-29.
The new DAMP will help us manage domestic animals, including dogs and cats.
This plan will include a range of solutions that will help us respond to the community needs for the animal management and will support the safety and wellbeing of the wider community.
The new DAMP will be implemented in partnership with Whittlesea and Merri-bek Councils and a range of key partners in the community.
We would like to find out more about your animal management needs and priorities are and how we could address them.
How can we ensure responsible pet ownership and reduce nuisance behaviour? Is there more we can do to improve the welfare of animals in Darebin?
Whether you're a pet owner or an animal lover, your input will help ensure we develop an animal management plan that is fair, inclusive and which balances the needs of Darebin's diverse community.
Find out more about the development of the new Domestic Animal Management Plan for Darebin and have your say in your language from 1 to 31 August at yoursay.darebin.vic.gov.au/DAMP
