Industrial action by the Australian Services Union is expected to affect kerbside bin collection in some suburbs of Darebin and we are sorry if you are inconvenienced by these actions. If your bin is not collected, please bring it inside until your next scheduled collection.
We work with real estate agents and property owners to transform areas of vacant shops, graffiti and bill posters into creative destinations.
As part of the Active Spaces Program, we're delivering the Active Windows Project. The project involves installing artwork from Darebin locals onto the external windows of vacant shopfronts across Darebin.
We are currently partnering with local education providers including Melbourne Polytechnic and Northern College of the Arts and Technology to showcase the work of students from the creative courses.
Active Spaces is designed to attract long-term tenants into vacant Darebin shopfronts, reduce tagging on vacant shopfronts, and showcase emerging Darebin artists and their artwork in the public realm.
Are there are vacant shops in your shopping strip that you think could benefit from being part of Active Spaces? Please get in touch.
