Venue hire support

Venue hires support aims to:

• Encourage community access to and use of nominated Council owned facilities
• Enable community organisations and groups to provide programs and activities at a reasonable cost
• Maximise use of Council owned venues by residents of Darebin

Darebin Community Grants typically open on 1 April each year, but the opening date will be different in 2026. At the March Council meeting, Council endorsed aligning the grants with the annual budget process, to better respond to the Strategic objectives defined in Our Darebin Plan 2025–2029. This will be determined at the May Council meeting, and the revised opening date determined after this meeting.

2026 Grant Rounds will be announced on social media and updated on this page when available.

Venues for hire

Note:

• Venue hire support applications for the use of the Darebin Arts Centre & Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre are subject to specific eligibility criteria.
• All bookings are tentative until applications have been assessed, approved and venue hire support has been allocated.
