Notice of intention to sell land – 42 Quinn Street, Preston

The Darebin City Council (Council) gives notice under Section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 (Act) and Council’s Community Engagement policy, that it intends to sell its land located at 42 Quinn Street, Preston, being the land contained in certificate of title volume 10406 folio 831, shown on the plans below.
The proposal is that the Land be sold by public auction or private treaty for not less than market value through the engagement of Hudson Bond (real-estate agency).
As part of its Community Engagement process, Council is inviting submissions from community members on this proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing to the undersigned by no later than 5:00pm Monday 26 March 2026.
All written submissions will be considered in accordance with the principles of section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and tabled at the next available Council meeting.
Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to sell the land, part of the land or not to sell the land. Further, Council may also decide to sell the land to another party.
Any person making a written submission is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.
