Youth services strategy

The Darebin Youth Services Strategy was launched in 2019. It helps guide us in creating a community where young people feel safe and welcomed, involved and empowered, secure in their identities, and proud of their culture.

We consulted with more than 1000 young people in developing the strategy. Our consultation activities yielded the following key issues for young people in Darebin:

  • mental health
  • finding and keeping a job
  • drugs and alcohol
  • equity and discrimination
  • climate change
