Under the creative guidance of local artist Emma Ismawi and NCAT Visual Arts student Angus Davey, Reservoir Primary School students brought a splash of colour to Legs Lane - a vibrant new mural inspired by safe, sustainable travel and a strong sense of local belonging.
This community project, part of Darebin’s Octopus Schools initiative, not only makes walking and cycling to school more inviting, but also connects young creatives with place-making and public art.
Delivered by Darebin Council’s Sustainable Transport and Economic Development & Place Activation teams, in partnership with Reservoir Primary School, this initiative also provides mentorship and real-world experience for emerging artist and supports our local creative economy.
Legs Lane is located adjacent to 3 Barton Street, Reservoir.
