Leasing or licensing Council property

Generic image of Darebin at night

Council has two roles in the leasing and licensing property:

  • Landlord - we lease or licence Council controlled property to a broad range of tenants and users, including sporting clubs, community organisations, not-for-profit, private and commercial entities, and other parties.
  • Tenant - we lease or license property owned by other agencies, individuals or organisations to support our service delivery activities.

Expressions of Interest (EOIs)

Council regularly seeks expressions of interest to lease or license Council properties through its EOI process.

Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open to reinvigorate over 20 buildings and properties owned by Darebin Council through leasing and licensing arrangements.

EOIs are invited from community organisations, commercial entities and/or any other third parties to partner with Council to unlock the value of its properties through an open, equitable and transparent process that delivers best outcomes for the local community.
