Desexing programs

In partnership with Animal Welfare Victoria, Darebin Council is offering free desexing for cats within the community that may not be traditionally owned, but are being cared for by a household or several households by way of receiving shelter, food and water.

The program aims to promote and encourage responsible cat ownership whilst also reducing the population of stray cats within the City of Darebin.

Whilst each cat is desexed for free, they will also receive a free:
  • Vaccination
  • Microchip
