A registered builder will be responsible to complete the scope of building works included in your project, and will manage the different trades required.
Their role includes:
Spend some time getting quotes for the work to ensure you have a cost comparison and check that your registered builder has current licences and insurances.
Use the Victorian Building Authority website to find registered builders in Victoria.
You may want to complete your project as an 'owner builder', in which case you would take on the above responsibilities. Read more about becoming an owner builder.
