Please note the following information regarding Public Notice of planning applications over the 2025/2026 Festive and New Year period. 

Council extends the Public Notice period to 28 days during this period to ensure that all interested parties are provided with sufficient time to review advertised application information and to lodge an objection if desired.

The final day for standard 14-day Notice Period will be Monday 1 December 2025.

The extended 28-day Notice Period will commence on Tuesday 2 December 2025 and conclude on Thursday 18 January 2026.

The last date for the erection of public notices is Thursday 18 December 2025. Any planning application requiring advertising with an on-site notice after this date, will be held by Council and advertised from Monday 5th January 2026. Letters only advertising will be processed during this period.

The standard 14-day Public Notice period will recommence from Monday 19 January 2026.

Planning and building have different laws and approvals. Planning considers how land use and development affects an area's environment and liveability. Building is about constructing or altering structures such as houses, businesses and offices.
