Volunteering Australia

Volunteering Australia is the national peak body for volunteering. Their mission is to lead, strengthen, promote and celebrate volunteering. Check out the Volunteering Resource Hub where you can find a range of evidence-based, best practice resources to support effective volunteer engagement.

Volunteering Victoria is the state peak body for volunteering. Their focus is on advocacy, sector development and the promotion of volunteering.

Justice Connect

Justice Connect’s Not-for-profit Law program is a national legal service, offering legal advice, information, resources and tools and training for not-for-profit organisations.

SEEK Volunteer

SEEK Volunteer is Australia’s largest free online source of volunteer opportunities. The platform provides an easy pathway for people to connect with the right volunteer opportunity.

Darebin Leaders of Volunteers Network

The City of Darebin has a longstanding legacy of involvement with volunteers. Council directly recruit and manage volunteers, as well as work in partnership with local volunteer-involving organisations and volunteer community groups. We are always looking for new, innovative ways to work together to promote positive, meaningful volunteering practices and opportunities for community. Volunteering Victoria runs special interest groups with a Professional Development component. These groups provide opportunities for volunteer managers and leaders to come together to discuss emerging issues in the sector across a range of topics. Environmental Volunteer Managers Network in the North

The Environmental Volunteer Managers (EVM) Network in the North is a newly established network facilitated by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). The network is inclusive of the City of Darebin and various neighbouring Councils. Environmental volunteering or volunteering for nature includes activities that involve caring for landscapes, waste and recovery, energy and climate change, sustainability, citizen science and wildlife care. Representatives from local LGAs and key agencies, and representatives from local community groups who engage environmental volunteers are all encouraged to participate.
