Op shops
You can donate unwanted items to a local op shop. The money they raise from selling second-hand items helps support disadvantaged people and improve social outcomes.
Please make sure any items you donate are in good condition. You should also phone before you drop by to check their store opening hours and what items they do and don't accept.

Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes
Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes (DHRH) is a community-run Facebook group that helps save usable items from landfill.
Simply put your unwanted items on the the Darebin Hard Rubbish Heroes Facebook page or post a request for them to contact you with other options.
WeCycle
WeCycle is a volunteer-run community bike shed in Northcote. You can donate unwanted bicycles and parts to be refurbished and given it to someone who needs it.

You can donate unwanted baby and children's accessories and toys to Big Group Hug if they're in good condition. Big Group Hug gives them directly to families through maternal and child health workers and welfare agencies.
