The state government notified Victorian councils that the free Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) distribution program to community has ceased.

Since the program began in 2022, Victorian councils distributed millions of free tests to their communities. The availability of free RATS was vital to ensure people had access to quick testing to keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
