Our work experience program provides meaningful, hands-on learning in agriculture and horticulture.
Programs are available for secondary, VCE VM, VET, TAFE and University levels. Students with innovative ideas and a great sense of initiative are encouraged to apply.
Students will assist with animal care including feeding and cleaning out animal pens; assist guides with education programs and assist with general farm cleaning and grounds maintenance.
Applications for the farm's 2025 work experience positions have now closed as we are at capacity.
We offer a limited number of work experience placements per year to secondary, VET and VCE VM students. Secondary school placements run for one week, Monday to Friday.
VCE VM and VET student placements can be discussed with our Education Team Leader.
We welcome work experience applications from students with additional needs. For students who require a carer, please ensure the carer is available to attend the interview, and if successful, subsequent placement dates with the student.
Applicants need to follow the same guidelines for secondary schools, VET and VCE placements - see above for details.
University and TAFE (18+ years old) placements
We also offer a limited number of placements each year for University and TAFE students. The duration of TAFE and university placements depend on the requirements of the course you are enrolled in.
If your application is successful, you will be contacted by our Education Team Leader to arrange a time for a short interview.
If you still have questions about the work experience program and the application process, please contact our Education Team Leader.
