What happens if I fail to comply?

You're responsible for registration and inspections of your pool, spa or safety barrier. There are fines for non-compliance.

If you don't comply with our directions to ensure compliance with the building regulations, we may refer the matter to a magistrate.

Fees

Non-compliance - if the inspector finds an issue with your pool or spa safety barriers and the issue isn't resolved within 60 days, you may receive a Certificate of Non-Compliance. A fee of $413.40 applies in this instance.

The building surveyor or inspector who inspects your pool or spa may charge an inspection fee. As this is a commercial fee, we can't control how much the service provider charges for their services. We encourage you to source multiple quotes.
